Accreditation, Membership and Partnership

Southern Africa Youth Project has accredited by MICT RELEVANT ACCREDITATION, MEMBERSHIPS, REGULATORY AND PARTNERSHIPS as a primary RELEVANT ACCREDITATION, MEMBERSHIPS, REGULATORY AND PARTNERSHIPS and after that maintaining Accreditation, Membership and Partnership as a Provider of Youth Empowerment from MICT RELEVANT ACCREDITATION, MEMBERSHIPS, REGULATORY AND PARTNERSHIPS ACCREDITATION, MEMBERSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP BODY NATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND PROGRAMMES ASSURANCE Regulation No. R1127 of 1998

  • In seeking Accreditation, Membership and Partnership, the following issues considered:
  1. Which is the applicable accreditation, membership, and partnership body?
  2. What the applicable institutional requirements for Skills and youth development Programmes and following Programmes Management Accreditation, Membership and Partnership?
  3. Which the applicable Programme requirements?
  4. Which the applicable NATIONAL QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORKS (NQF) AND INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES STANDARDS (IPS) Bands and Levels of Primary Focus?
  5. The relation of Bands and Levels to a coherent, progressive pattern of registered standards and Programmes and Qualifications within learning pathways.
  6. The relation of the standards and Programmes and Qualifications to articulation and portability within learning pathways.
  7. Programme Type and Standard Unit alignment.

PROCEDURE for registration and ACCREDITATION, membership, and partnership

  1. Purpose
    • The purpose of the procedure is to detail requirements for the registration and Accreditation, Membership and Partnership of the Southern Africa Youth Project
  1. Scope

The scope of procedures includes the following Accreditation, Membership and Partnership activities:

  • Application for Accreditation, Membership and Partnership as an Assessor.
  • Application for Accreditation, Membership and Partnership as a Programme Assessment, review, and referral Centre
  • Application for Accreditation, Membership and Partnership as a Provider.
  • Application for Accreditation, Membership and Partnership as a Facilitator of Youth Empowerment.
  • Application for Accreditation, Membership and Partnership of Learning and or Skills and youth development programmes.

  1. Definitions
  • Accreditation, Membership and Partnership The periodical certification of a person, body or an institution as having the capacity to fulfil a particular function in the quality assurance system set up by NATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND PROGRAMMES ASSURANCE NATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND PROGRAMMES ASSURANCE Act No. 58 of 1995 as amended National Qualification Frameworks (Neff) And International Programmes Standards (Ips) Act of 2008 and Youth Empowerment Quality Assurance Body Regulations No. 1127 of 1998.
  • Youth Empowerment Quality Assurance Body An Accreditation, Membership And Partnership Body mean a body accrete Section 5(1) (a) (ii) of the NATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND PROGRAMMES ASSURANCE Act No. 58 of 1995 as amended National Qualification Frameworks (NQF) And International Programmes Standards (Ips) Act of 2008 has responsibility for monitoring and auditing achievements national standards or Programmes and Qualifications and to which specific functions relating to the registration of national standards.
  • Provider A body, which delivers Programme which culminates in specified National Frameworks Framework standards or Programmes and Qualifications and manages the Programme Assessment, review, and referral thereof.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning The comparison of the previous learning and experience of a Beneficiary howsoever obtained against the learning outcomes required for a specific qualification, and the acceptance for purposes of eligibility of that which meets the requirements.
  • Programme Type and Short programmes Registered statements of desire Youth Empowerment outcomes, their associate Programme Assessment, review, and referral criteria, together with administrative and other information as specified in the regulation.
